Ancelotti: Barca’s title to lose

Carlo Ancelotti admits the La Liga title is in Barcelona’s hands ahead of Real Madrid’s match against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.

Los Blancos demolished Granada 9-1 last week but remain four points behind the Catalans atop the League table, and the Coach concedes his side may have to rely their bitter rivals slipping up.

“The players at [Real] Madrid are good enough to play here,” he said at a Press conference.

“There’s no need to for them to leave, as [Dani] Carvajal did two years ago. Everyone here is ready to play for Real Madrid.

“It will be a difficult game, Rayo always fight and are well organised, so we must continue with the idea and attitude we showed against Granada, knowing it’ll be a tough game.

“I always prefer playing a team that sits back because it means you’re in control of the game, but Rayo have the quality to control the game themselves, so it’ll be more complicated.

“I’m not convinced that we’ll become champions by winning every game. I know what we have to do, but at this point Barcelona are in charge.”
