‘Chicharito’ set for MLS switch?

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez could be set for a move to Major League Soccer with Orlando City the latest club to be linked with the Mexican.

The 26-year-old is on a season-long loan at Real Madrid from Manchester United but has hardly figured for Carlo Ancelotti’s team this season, with his future looking increasingly likely to be away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Even so, there has been no shortage of offers and Marca reports that Orlando City are willing to pay United’s asking price of around €11m, while there has also been interest from Inter, Wolfsburg and Everton.

Negotiations with the Florida outfit are believed to be at an advanced stage and they are keen to bring the Guadalajara-born striker to the United States as part of their drive to ensure the continued presence of their thousands of Latin American fans.
