Xavi Hernandez has returned from a visit to Qatar but is still remaining tight-lipped over his future with Barcelona.
Reports in Spain had it that the 35-year-old has signed a deal with Qatari outfit Al Sadd, yet Xavi refused to confirm he will be moving to the Middle East at the end of this season.
“It was just a visit, nothing more, just a visit. When I have some news I’ll let you know,” the Spain international told waiting reporters on his arrival at Barcelona’s El Prat airport.
Xavi refused to confirm or deny he would be playing in the Qatar Stars League next season after being told Al Sadd had issued a statement saying negotiations had been taking place.
“They didn’t say that,” replied Xavi when told about it.
