Banega loving life at Sevilla

Ever Banega has confessed that he hopes to stay at Sevilla for the long haul after successfully rebuilding his career at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

The midfielder failed to truly realise his potential at Valencia as a number of off-field incidents overshadowed his performances, while he spent the last six months of 2013-14 on loan at Newell's Old Boys.

However, he has since established himself as a key performer under former Valencia boss Unai Emery in Andalucia and regained his place in the Argentine set-up, scoring against El Salvador on Saturday.

"I have a contract with Sevilla and my top priority is to stay here," the 26-year-old told Radio La Red.

"I feel good, we're having a great season and I'm playing a lot.

"Tata Martino's called me up to the Argentina squad many times. For me, it's a matter of pride."
