PSV have confirmed that Valencia loanee Andres Guardado will join them on a permanent basis this summer.
The winger arrived at Philips Stadion on loan prior to the start of the season and has played a key role in the Dutch giants' charge towards the Eredivisie summit.
Consequently, PSV were keen to thrash out a permanent deal for the Mexico captain and they have agreed to pay an undisclosed fee for his services.
“We are pleased that, after an initial loan, [Guardado] will definitely be a PSV player after this season,” said PSV sporting director Marcel Brands on the club's official website.
“Andres is an important player for PSV and the entire Eredivisie. We hope to enjoy the years he has ahead of him as a PSV player.”
Guardado, who will sign a three-year contract with PSV, began his European adventure with Deportivo La Coruna in 2007.
He made almost 150 appearances in La Liga for the Galicians, before joining Valencia in 2012 and playing out most of his spell with Los Che at left-back.
A loan spell with Bayer Leverkusen last year did not work out, but he has successfully revived his career in Netherlands.
