Real Madrid monitor PSV defender

PSV Eindhoven left-back Jetro Willems is understood to be on Real Madrid’s radar for this summer.

According to Voetbal International, a representative from the Spanish giants was reportedly at De Kuip on Sunday to run the rule over the 20-year-old during PSV’s 2-1 defeat at Feyenoord.

Willems has been in impressive form for PSV this term, leading the Eredivisie’s assist charts with 11, and has found the back of the net twice in 35 appearances in all competitions.

However, Manchester City are also rumoured to be interested in acquiring his services, while neighbours Manchester United have previously tracked the Rotterdam-born player following his selection in Holland’s squad for Euro 2012.

PSV signed Willems from Sparta Rotterdam in July 2011 for a reported €800,000 and he has since gone on to win 11 caps for his country.

He has also been named in Guus Hiddink’s squad to face Turkey and Spain this week.
