Low drops La Liga hint

Current German national team Coach Joachim Low has dropped the broadest hint yet that he sees his future in Spain.

Speaking to German TV station ZDF’s ‘Sportstudio’ programme, the 55-year-old said Spain was a country where their ideas on the game are not too dissimilar to his own.

“After the Russia World Cup in 2018 I’d like to coach in Spain,” revealed Low.

“It’s a League that shares my philosophy on the game, both offensive and technical, and that’s the reason I see it as a very interesting domestic competition.”

Low also commented on the alleged doping that went on in the Bundesliga in the 1970’s and 1980’s and recalled how it was something he hadn’t come across.

“What I can tell you from personal experience is that back then, when I was in my late teens, there was no awareness of this matter whatsoever,” he asserted.
