Real Madrid defender Marcelo believes the team has regained its confidence following Sunday’s 2-0 defeat of Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Two goals from Gareth Bale saw Los Blancos get back to winning ways after losses to Athletic Bilbao and Schalke in the last week, while the Brazilian feels the performance against Levante could mark a turning point in their season.
“We are not having the best of times but with this result we’ve gained more confidence before the trip to Barcelona next week, which is going to be a key game,” said Marcelo, who also commented on the jeers from the stands his team has had to endure recently.
“The public are always right and we’ll be doing everything possible to bring some joy to the Madrid supporters,” he asserted.
