Cristiano Ronaldo says he will not speak to the media until the end of the season following Real Madrid’s Champions League last-16 triumph over Schalke.
The No 7 scored a brace during Los Blancos’ 4-3 second-leg defeat by the Royal Blues on Tuesday to ensure his side progressed to the quarter-finals, amidst reports of on-field disagreements with teammates at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“I will not speak [to the media] until the end of the season,” he is quoted as saying by Marca to the mixed zone after the match.
On a more positive note, Ronaldo replaced Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez as the all-time top goalscorer in European competition, having netted his 77th and 78th strikes on the continent against Schalke.
