Coke: ‘We can catch Valencia’

Sevilla full-back Jorge Andujar ‘Coke’ believes the seven point gap between his team and fourth-placed Valencia is not insurmountable.

The Andalusians are currently fifth in La Liga and have been fighting for one of the Champions League spots all season, an achievement the 27-year-old feels is still within their grasp.

“The gap between the two teams is not impossible to close and it’s the same as when we were fourth. We didn’t think the position was ours,” he told the club’s official website.

“To get into the Champions League we must start winning away from home, starting with the difficult game at Deportivo la Coruna on Saturday,

“Although we’ve had some negative results we are still not looking over our shoulders at Villarreal [one point behind in sixth], but we will be up against a good Depor and know we have to win.

“Against Atletico Madrid last week it wasn’t to be, although we played well, and despite not winning that’s the way we need to carry on.

“Hopefully we can get ourselves up there and have a chance of doing something important,” he added.
