Suarez: It’s still open

Luis Suarez doesn’t believe Barcelona are home and dry in their Champions League tie with Manchester City.

Suarez scored twice on his return to England following his summer move from Liverpool as Barca beat the Premier League champions 2-1.

Lionel Messi missed a last-minute penalty but Suarez isn’t convinced the game would have been over even if the spot kick was converted.

“I don’t know if it would have decided the game. These things happen,” he said, Marca reports.

“It meant something to return to England. I think in the first half we had a very good game and we were able to score.

“In the second they came out very well and at 2-1 they were back in the game. They’re a team of great quality in midfield and attack.

“The game is still open with the return leg, but we’re Barca.”
