Pedro: It’s difficult playing so little

Pedro Rodriguez has admitted he is struggling with playing only rarely for Barcelona but vowed to make a good impression on Luis Enrique when he can.

The winger has seen his playing time reduced of late, with Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi entrenched as the Coach’s preferred forward line.

Speaking after the 5-0 win over Levante, in which Pedro played the full 90 minutes, he discussed his current situation at Camp Nou.

“It’s difficult for those who don’t play that much and we all hope for an opportunity,” he said, AS reports.

“In these matches you have to give your best and your best for the team, contribute and make life difficult for the Coach.

“I’m happy [to get a good reception from the fans] because people appreciate the work I do and that’s one of the things that fills you with satisfaction as a player.

“I’m refreshed and I’m happy. I’m training well and it’s logical that everyone wants more opportunities when not playing. I give everything when I am on the field and playing.

“Overall, I’m happy with my work and my teammates. It’s been fun and a good time.”
