‘Levante only thinking of Barca’

Levante Coach Lucas Alcaraz has promised his players will give everything they have on Sunday against Barcelona.

The Catalans host Les Granotes and the visitors go into Week 23 in the relegation zone but on the back of a 4-1 win over Malaga.

“We have to focus on a very specific challenge. We need to focus on how we will be on the pitch, rather than on the result,” Alcaraz said at a Press conference, Marca reports.

“Of course we’re going to give everything. The only game we have now is Barcelona, no other. Let us give our maximum.

“How do we stop Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez? I hope it’s a problem we have many more times, so every year we go to Barcelona and those opponents.”

Alcaraz also weighed in on the Bryan Ruiz situation after the proposed loan move of Fulham’s Costa Rica forward collapsed.

“I’m happy the club tried to improve the squad. Now it’s up to us that the improvements translate into results,” he said, focusing on the players available rather than those not.

“Together we can avoid relegation.”
