Carlo Ancelotti has paid tribute to the leadership qualities of Cristiano Ronaldo and predicted the forward will win another Ballon d’Or.
Ancelotti was speaking to Portuguese publication A Bola in an interview repeated by AS, with the main topic being the club’s Portuguese players – Ronaldo, Pepe and Fabio Coentrao.
“In the locker room, Ronaldo is a leader,” Ancelotti is quoted as saying.
“He speaks a lot with his teammates, especially the younger ones. He is a very important figure, as are Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas and Marcelo.
“If you continue to have the passion he has for what he does you can carry on not knowing [when to stop] thanks to his physical constitution and unique genetics.
“Of course [Ronaldo can win another Ballon d’Or]. Without a doubt. He plays in a great team that will help him win more trophies and work with the team to remain the best in the world.”
