Lucas Silva to get Madrid chance?

Lucas Silva could make his Real Madrid debut against Deportivo La Coruna after Sami Khedira came out of the derby with a knee injury.

AS notes that the Brazilian, signed in January from Cruzeiro, has yet to make his bow for Los Blancos, but with Khedira to have a scan on his knee on Monday, Carlo Ancelotti could be left with little option but to field Silva at Riazor.

Ancelotti is already without Luka Modric and James Rodriguez and has only Toni Kroos, Isco and Asier Illarramendi fit for next weekend.

The Italian has thus far preferred Khedira over Silva and on Saturday brought on Illarra rather than the new boy, having been told Silva was coming to Santiago Bernabeu rather than expressed a desire for the club to sign him.

AS notes Madrid chose to bring the 21-year-old to the club in January rather than wait for the summer as part of his registration was owned by a third-party, an arrangement that will be banned by FIFA as of May 1 and would have made the transfer more complicated.
