Gracia expects Levante scrap

Javi Gracia has conceded that a scrappy encounter is likely to await Malaga when they travel to Levante in La Liga on Saturday.

The Andalucians arrested a poor run of form with an impressive 1-0 victory over European rivals Valencia last weekend and have another Valencian duel this time out against the basement boys.

“Confronting Levante doesn’t have the same media coverage as it did against Valencia, but we’re aware of our need for points,” he said at a Press conference.

“They’re a different team, but I don’t think their style of play will be too different. We expect a demanding game, perhaps not a brilliant one because the opponents will be very difficult to face.

“We’re getting closer to the number of points needed to stay up. Once we’ve managed that, we’ll aspire to something else. We’ll continue with this talk of prudence.

“There’s no problem with the players who have been selected and those who stayed at home, except for the long-term casualties. There’s no problem with the rest of the team.”
