Granada’s Murillo to join Inter

Granada defender Jeison Murillo has confirmed that he will join Inter in the summer.

Reports in the centre-back’s native Colombia claim that the Nerazzurri will pay a fee in the region of €10m for his services, with the 22-year-old agreeing a five-year contract.

“I thank God for this opportunity to join Inter in the summer,” he told Caracol Radio.

“The two clubs have reached an agreement, the idea is to finish the season with Granada and then go to Inter.

“For now, I’m committed to helping Granada meet their targets. Only after that will I think about Inter because I‘ll be fulfilling a dream.

“We all know about Ivan Ramiro [Cordoba’s impact] at Inter, I hope to assume the same responsibility and make a difference like he did.”

Murillo has been a regular performer since breaking into the Granada team last season but has not featured since the end of 2014 with a foot injury.

However, there were no complications in his medical examinations, leaving him free to return to Italy, having previously represented Udinese in 2010.
