Pogba or Isco for Barca?

Reports in Spain suggest Barcelona will target Paul Pogba and Isco once their FIFA-imposed transfer embargo is lifted next year.

According to Wednesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo, the Juventus midfielder sits atop La Blaugrana’s wishlist, but they are expected to face competition from Real Madrid, who are believed to be in the driving seat thanks to Zinedine Zidane.

However, the newspaper believes the appointment of Ariedo Braida as Barca’s new international sporting director may be linked to a potential assault on Pogba due to the former Milan official’s friendship with the player’s agent Mino Raiola.

If the Catalans fail in their attempts to land the 21-year-old, then they will reportedly turn their attentions towards Isco.

Despite the high praise he has received since being redeployed in central midfield, the Real Madrid starlet has started just 12 matches in La Liga this season.

MD claims that Luka Modric’s imminent return from injury, coupled with the recent captures of James Rodriguez – originally thought to be the Spaniard’s replacement – Lucas Silva will force the stylish performer to consider his options.
