Isco not out for La Real revenge

Real Madrid midfielder Isco will not be gunning for revenge against Real Sociedad when the two sides meet at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

The Basque outfit stunned Los Blancos at Anoeta 4-2 earlier in the season, but the Spain international says he is more focused on securing the three points to keep his side atop La Liga.

“Madrid are forced to fight. We want more than revenge, we hope to find good sensations [against La Real],” he said at a promotional event on Tuesday.

“We have two major competitions in the La Liga and Champions League [to fight for].

“To defend the Champions League is a beautiful objective, and we'll work hard for it.

“Madrid are great in all aspects. I'm very happy to have won four titles in less than two years. I'm also happy to have lived in a great city like Madrid.

“[The match at San Sebastian] was a very strange game. There's nothing better than [to win] in front of your own fans because they're three very important points.

“I'm happy for the people who voted for me [as Mahou's best player for December] because it means I'm doing something right. It's nice to receive an award like this.

“I feel very well with the love and warmth of the fans and look forward to translating this into the field.”
