Tebas accepts Ronaldo apology

LFP President Javier Tebas maintains that while Cristiano Ronaldo acted 'unsportingly' against Cordoba, he has accepted the Real Madrid forward's apology.

The 29-year-old was shown a straight red card for slapping and kicking opposing left-back Edimar to the ground during Los Blancos' 2-1 victory at Nuevo Arcangel on Saturday.

“It's not for me but the Competition Committee of the Federation to decide [Ronaldo's sanction],” the official said at a charity match on Tuesday.

“I'll focus on Cristiano's apology later. Unsportsmanlike conduct isn't good for La Liga.

“Cristiano wasn't sporting, although I prefer to think he wasn't and apologised.

“I like to look for positives and I liked his apology. It's something [the LFP] value.”
