Josep Maria Bartomeu has reiterated there is no chance of Barcelona selling Lionel Messi in the near future.
Speaking on the ‘El mon a RAC1’ programme, the Barca President repeated his stance on rumours that the Argentine could be set to leave the club and confirmed that he is going nowhere.
“Messi will continue here this season, next season and the one after that,” insisted Bartomeu.
“He has a contract and is happy, so I’ll refer you to his words. We have no intention of selling Leo because we are very happy with him.”
Bartomeu also touched on the future of boss Luis Enrique, who at times has been the subject of some criticism this season.
“Luis has a contract at the club until 2016. He is doing a job that isn’t easy as he’s incorporating players with those we already had, so I’m pretty happy with him.”
