Campbell relishing Villarreal chance

Joel Campbell says he is relishing the opportunity of playing at Villarreal and returning to La Liga.

The Costa Rica international, who spent the 2012-13 campaign at Real Betis, has joined the Yellow Submarine on a season-long loan from Arsenal until the end of the season and is hoping to adapt to life at El Madrigal as quickly as possible.

“Playing at Villarreal for the rest of the season means a lot to me. I’m very happy for this opportunity,” the striker is quoted as saying on his official website.

“They have a defined way of playing and it will be a pleasure as they are a great team that is well placed in the table. They have a style of play that will suit me.

“I hope I can settle in as quickly as possible and I am able to prove my worth. I can only say I’ll give 200 per cent in an attempt to win over the fans.

“I can do it through hard work and that is my intention.”
