Emery praises Sevilla fans

Unai Emery paid tribute to Sevilla supporters after they chanted his name during Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Malaga.

The Andalucians recorded their best-ever start in La Liga courtesy of their success at Sanchez Pizjuan, and the Coach urged his team to continue feeding off the fans' affection ahead of their Copa del Rey quarter-final first-leg with Espanyol on Thursday.

“We’re happy about cementing the joy of the victory and the continuity showed by the players who until now have played less,” he said after the game.

“We’re pleased that our match against Real Madrid was postponed [due to the Club World Cup].

“We must continue to transmit [our positive energy] into every training session and game.

“We’re satisfied, but our joy is contained. Now we’re only thinking about the match against Espanyol [in the Copa del Rey].

“I welcome the supporters chanting my name because I feel the club and they’re enjoying our good work.

”We must continue to transmit the joy of our fans into every training session and game. “
