Xavi to miss Depor-Barca

Xavi Hernandez has been ruled out of Barcelona’s trip to Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday after failing to shake off a hamstring injury.

The midfielder had trained with his Blaugrana teammates yesterday, despite not being given medical clearance to feature against the Galicians.

However, he has now been deemed unfit to feature at the Riazor, joining Jeremy Mathieu and Thomas Vermaelen on the sidelines.

Elsewhere, Douglas Pereira is left out, while Jordi Masip and Munir El Haddadi have since returned to the B team.

Barca squad to face Depor: Bravo, Ter Stegen; Adriano, Alba, Alves, Bartra, Mascherano, Montoya, Pique; Busquets, Iniesta, Rafinha, Rakitic, Sergi Roberto; Messi, Neymar, Pedro, Suarez.
