Moyes wants goals from La Real

David Moyes is hoping to see a more expansive Real Sociedad take to Anoeta against Rayo Vallecano tomorrow afternoon.

La Real have scored just 11 goals under the Scottish Coach's watch, and he admits their struggles to find the back of the net are a cause for concern, despite their defensive improvements.

“The Copa is always a difficult competition, no-one thought a win at Villarreal would be easy, but the lads worked hard,” he said at a Press conference on Friday.

“The priority, however, is the League and we want to put in a good performance against Rayo.

“I shouldn't have argued with the referee, but his two decisions were incorrect. I left the technical area and went over to the fans because I wanted to watch the game with them.

“[Alfred] Finnbogason wasn't offside and Mikel [Gonzalez's] goal should have stood.

“I've seen Rayo's style of play. Football can be played in many ways, and that's what makes Rayo unique.

“They have an open and very attacking style. It'll be a different game to the ones we've had so far. We want to win because it'd prop us up the table.

“I hope there will be goals. They play in a way which will force us to open ourselves more and give us the ability to have more chance.

“We must be patient in recovering the ball, t but he players are ready for the game.

“If we win these games, it will help us a lot in getting away from the relegation zone, but so far this season we haven't shown we can win these games.

“It's not easy to win against smaller teams, so we have to play much better [than we have done].

“At the moment, I'm not thinking about moving on any players, nor have any players asked me to leave. This might change, but for now I don't foresee any departures.

“We have to score more goals. If possible, we'd like to add some creativity and attacking options, but in defence we've done well.”
