Granada to sack Caparros?

Joaquin Caparros is reportedly hours away from being replaced by Abel Resino as Granada Coach.

The 59-year-old only took charge of the Andalucians in the summer but has since led them to the bottom of La Liga, with no wins in their last eight matches.

Consequently, EFE has claimed that the Granada hierarchy have lost patience with Caparros and will announce his departure later today.

Caparros enjoyed significant success at Sevilla between 2000 and 2005, laying the foundations for later glory under Juande Ramos.

However, his subsequent managerial ventures have been disappointing, biting the bullet at Deportivo La Coruna and Mallorca and resigning from Neuchatel Xamax and Levante.

Meanwhile, former goalkeeper Abel seems destined to return to Granada for a second spell, having previously guided the side to safety at the first time of asking in 2012.
