Iker Casillas has sent a message to the Real Madrid fans ahead of Thursday’s Last 16 Copa del Rey return leg against city rivals Atletico Madrid.
Los Blancos go into the game with a two-goal deficit following last week’s defeat at the Vicente Calderon, but Casillas is confident they can turn the tie around and wants the fans to believe the same.
“Final session before the Copa del Rey derby. We’re looking forward to competing and there’s a good feeling amongst the squad…We must defend this trophy!” he wrote on his Twitter account.
Full-back Alvaro Arbeloa was also in bullish mood and he too lent his support, although he will be sidelined through injury for the encounter with Diego Simeone’s men.
“Injury means I won’t be able to play on this occasion so I will be just one more of you. Let’s do it!” he tweeted.
