Sevilla are searching for a central midfielder in the January transfer window and have been running the rule over Hull City’s Mohamed Diame.
According to Metro, the Andalusians are in advanced talks with the Premier League outfit over a loan agreement for the Senegal international [pictured, left] until the end of this season, which would also contain an option to buy.
The 27-year-old, who is under contract at the KC Stadium until 2017, would reinforce a midfield that will see the loss of Stephane Mbia to the African Nations Cup this month, while Sebastian Cristoforo, who has not played this term, has suffered a setback in his battle to overcome a knee injury.
Diame joined Hull from West Ham United for €4.4m last summer and has had previous experience of La Liga, having spent the 2008-09 campaign with Rayo Vallecano before signing for Wigan Athletic.
