Liverpool striker Fabio Borini believes Luis Enrique will be a success at Barcelona if he is given time at the Camp Nou.
The Italian played under the Barca boss during his time with Roma, where he was on loan for the 2011-12 season, and feels the Catalan fans just need to show a little patience and the trophies will start to arrive.
“I met Luis Enrique when he was Coach at Roma and in the beginning things with him are always difficult, but in the end it all works out,” Borini told Catalunya Radio.
“The Barca fans have to have patience and bear with him because he is a great person and a great Coach. He has a lot of good football ideas and he’ll be a success if he is allowed to work.”
Borini was in Barcelona as a guest of Luis Suarez, his former teammate at Anfield, and grasped the opportunity to take in the Barca-Atletico Madrid game at the weekend.
“I took advantage of some holidays we were given by Liverpool and it was a game I didn’t want to miss,” he explained.
