Moyes rues La Real fragility

David Moyes lamented Real Sociedad’s failure to ‘take control’ of Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Granada in La Liga.

The Basque outfit took the lead in Andalucia through Carlos Vela’s first-half penalty but ultimately squandered another opportunity to arrest their winless form away from home this season courtesy of Fran Rico’s late spotkick

“I’m not happy with our performance. We should have taken greater control of the match after we went ahead,” the Scottish Coach said after the game.

“After the match against Levante and [now Granada], we should have taken four points. Granada deserved their point in the end.

“We weren’t able to kill the game off as we would’ve liked. The pitch was also dry and very difficult for both teams to play on.

“A draw makes it difficult for us to escape from the bottom [half], so we must continue looking for ways to improve our game in order to achieve better results.

“The team have been winless away from home for too long.”
