Marcelino spoke of his contentment at seeing Villarreal leave Malaga with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
The Yellow Submarine emerged with a point from La Rosaleda thanks to Jonathan Dos Santos’ opener on the stroke of half-time, but fortuned favoured them as the Andalucians were denied a seemingly-legitimate goal.
“From the position I was in, it was impossible for me to assess the phase of play,” the Coach said after the match.
“The linesman had a better view of it, so did the stands and television cameras.
“Both teams had chances to score and it was a good game. At the beginning of both halves, Malaga pressurised us, but we surpassed them at various stages.
"We had several clear chances and I’m happy with the work of my team against such great opponents.”
