La Real away form ‘concerns’ Moyes

David Moyes has admitted that he is ‘concerned’ about Real Sociedad’s away form this season but is confident his side can get a result at Granada today.

La Real have yet to win on their La Liga travels in 2014-15, with their last victory coming at Real Betis eight months ago, but the Scottish Coach was in positive spirits ahead of his side’s trip to Andalucia.

“I’m concerned about our away form, and we still need to improve,” he said.

“We got a positive result at Levante in our last away outing, but I want three points in our next match.

“I think my team are capable of winning away from home, but in order to do so, we must score more goals and also defend well.

“Despite the bitter aftertaste on Wednesday, we were been able to beat Barcelona and are still alive in the Copa.

“The calendar gives us a great opportunity to leave the bottom half of the table, but it’s easier said than done on the pitch, which is where you have to do [your talking].

“Joseba Zaldua and David Zurutuza are out, but I’m optimistic about Carlos Vela and Gero Rulli.

Moyes, however, was less optimistic about La Real’s ability to bring in new players before the end of the January.

“The squad must be strengthened and we’re looking for reinforcements, but it’s proving difficult,” he concluded.
