Celta Vigo have completed the signing of Theo Bongonda from Zulte-Waregem on a four-year contract.
The 19-year-old attacker is the Galicians’ first piece of business in the January transfer window and joins for a fee reportedly in the region of €1m.
Bongonda, a left-footed forward known for his pace, represents Belgium at Under-21 level and made 33 Pro League appearances for the Essevee.
Arsenal were also believed to have maintained an interest in the forward.
