Quique Sanchez Flores said Almeria made it tough for his Getafe side after drawing 1-1 in their last 16 Copa del Rey first-leg tie.
The Madrid outfit took the lead on 11 minutes at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos courtesy of a Verza own goal, only to concede just before the hour mark when the same player converted from the penalty spot to level things.
“It was a good draw at a ground that’s not easy to come to and I was happy with the first half, but not the second,” the new Getafe boss told a Press conference.
“Almeria made it difficult and after the break we lost the ball very quickly, gave them chances, and had trouble stopping Wellington.
“We need everyone to continue the way we want, but I’ve only been here two days and everything has happened very quickly in such a short space of time.”
