Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore insists the club can afford Lionel Messi should he become available.
The Ligue 1 champions have been frequently linked with a move for the Barcelona star and speculation has intensified following the Argentine’s alleged spat with boss Luis Enrique, after starting Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad on the bench.
“If Messi was to leave Barcelona then PSG’s owners will be on hand to strike a deal,” commented the 25-year-old, who is a teammate of Messi with Argentina, to TyC Sports.
“Money is not a problem as this club has the resources to buy any number of Lionel Messis.”
Messi’s contract with the Catalans is due to expire in summer 2018 and has a buyout clause of €250m written into it.
