Santa Cruz & Perez to leave Malaga

Roque Santa Cruz and Pablo Perez are on the verge of completing their exits from Malaga, according to AS.

The Paraguayan striker – who has plied his trade at La Rosaleda since 2012 – is set to sign a two-year contract with Cruz Azul and due to undergo a medical, while the Argentine midfielder will join Boca Juniors on loan for the next 18 months.

Other players who could leave the club this January are Jose Manuel Casado and Ezequiel Rascaldani, while defenders Sergio Sanchez and Weligton are at least a month away from returning to fitness. However, there is better news for hitman Juanmi, who has recovered from a fractured arm.

The Andalucians are scheduled to restart training on Monday, and it appears that they will do so without the South American pair, despite there being no official announcement from Malaga as of yet.
