Silva: Madrid would be a dream

Lucas Silva has dropped his biggest indication yet that he is eyeing up a January transfer to Real Madrid. “It would be a dream and a step forward”.

The Brazilian midfielder has been heavily linked with a €15m move to Los Blancos, and ahead of the market reopening for the winter, the Cruzeiro starlet admitted anything could happen.

“The January transfer window in Europe isn’t open, so anything can happen in the meantime,” the 21-year-old revealed to Globoesporte.

"When I say the market isn’t open, I mean the speculation. There’s been a lot of news and rumours about Real Madrid. What I can say is that there’s nothing definite.

“I’m a Cruzeiro player, I had a very good year and anything can still happen. I have my goals and objectives. [Real Madrid] would be a dream and a step forward.

“We must reach an agreement which benefits both Cruzeiro and I, but I'm relaxed. I'm already at a wonderful team, and I want to continue making history.”
