Kramer ends Real Madrid talk

Reported Real Madrid target Christoph Kramer has ended speculation about his future by signing a new contract with Bayer Leverkusen.

Los Blancos were heavily linked with a January move for the midfielder, who was part of Germany's World Cup-winning squad this summer, but the Borussia Monchengladbach loanee has today extended his deal with his parent club for a further two years until 2019.

"After talks with with my bosses at Leverkusen, I didn't hesitate to extend my contract with them," he told Leverkusen's official website.

"The whole package with the players, coaches and the club itself just fits. I've known Bayer since my youth, and it was always my dream to make their first team.

"I managed to realise [my dream] via Bochum and Monchengladbach, and that makes me very happy."
