Enrique delighted with Pedro & Montoya

Luis Enrique singled out Pedro Rodriguez and Martin Montoya for praise following Barcelona's 5-0 victory over Cordoba on Saturday.

The attacker scored the opening goal and set up another against the new boys, while the right-back completed back-to-back starts for La Blaugrana, and the Coach was delighted with the La Masia pair's resurgence.

"Of course we have players who can score a goal, neither do we concede that many. It's an interesting cocktail," he told Barcelona's official website.

"It's not enough for us to lead the division but it's an interesting fact. We won't mutilate or flagellate ourselves if we fall four points behind Madrid again. I can't see any negatives or things to worry about.

"This break will come in handy. The players must recharge their batteries and mentally prepare themselves for what's ahead. We'll be immersed in all fronts, which is very attractive.

"Cordoba's approach was very similar to most teams who have played at Camp Nou. They retreated, closed spaces and created few chances. The match opened up at 2-0.

"The situation of players not taking part is difficult. Montoya's had the opportunity to play the last two games because he's earned it. When he's played, he's been very good. With me, any player can change their situation.

"Pedro's performance was that of a top player. At the beginning of the season, he had difficulty finding the back of the net, but now it's very hard to stop him."
