‘Barca return like Disneyland’

Luis Enrique has compared his return to Barcelona in the summer to 'being at Disneyland' ahead of Saturday's match against Cordoba.

The Coach – an ex-Blaugrana player and B-team trainer – resumed his Camp Nou career in May after three years with Roma and Celta Vigo, and he maintained that the opportunity to guide the club back to its former glories was too good to resist.

"It's been a brilliant year. The opportunity to manage Celta and then go back home… it's like being at Disneyland," he told reporters.

"We're preparing for Cordoba like we always do. Most of our opponents play deeply, we're accustomed to that. There are options for improvement, but it depends on our ability to attack with order and purpose.

"I'm not a fan of point-scoring, it's not my job. It's my first season, there's been so many changes and still many months to pass. At the end of the season, only then I will hand out report cards.

"I don't have that feeling [referring to a possible loss of confidence after the draw with Getafe]. We went into the game on the back of eight wins and clearly deserved to win.

"We're not missing anything. We have to improve on certain things. There's only better team than us in the League, but we're better than everyone else. We're following the natural process of evolution.

"I'll be driving to Gijon and don't have a TV in my car [to watch the Club World Cup final]. May the best team win.

"I'm not thinking about [the CAS] decision because it's out of my control. It'll affect us, but not in the near future. I only focus on the present.

"I am aware of what it means and entails to coach Barcelona. The players aren't children and know what they can and can't do.

"It's good to disconnect and be with the family [over Christmas]. We'll come back fresh."
