‘Eibar one of the hardest games’

Valencia Coach Nuno Santo is ready for a difficult game as Los Che travel to play Eibar in the last round of fixtures in 2014.

Nuno, who at his pre-match Press conference refused to discuss the reported signing of Enzo Perez from Benfica, insisted the Basques would pose on the hardest challenges of the entire Primera.

“Eibar is one of the toughest games. They’re a rival who are organised, strong, with good players, a good dynamic with [Gaizka] Garitano, and we know what we have ahead,” he said, AS reports.

“Ipurua is three metres narrower. That means a lot. You notice it in the actions of the set-pieces, also at throw-ins. And there’s the feeling of the fans being so close.

“I played against Eibar at their ground and I’ve experienced what it means to play there. I focus on the characteristics of the team. But they’re in the Primera and every game there is a party.

“We isolate ourselves from all that and focus on our work. Avoid mistakes and try to win. We want to leave with 31 points and have a good week on holiday.”
