Ancelotti: I don’t know the ref

Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti has poured scorn on speculation San Lorenzo are demanding a neutral referee for tonight's Club World Cup final in Marrakech.

The Argentine side are thought to have specifically asked for match officials who represent neither South America or Europe after reportedly objecting to the appointment of the Portuguese Pedro Proenca.

Guatemalan ref Walter Lopez is now set to oversee the tournament decider, yet Ancelotti is refusing to believe that Los Blancos' upcoming opponents have been guilty of such foul play.

"This is a final and the team are prepared, feeling good and confident. We want to finish this year on a high and we're sure that something good will happen," the Italian told reporters at a Press conference.

"There's no risk with James [Rodriguez]. He's been training with the squad since Wednesday, but the situation is different for [Sergio] Ramos.

"We'll have to see how he feels at the end of training, and together we will make a decision. The opinion of the medical staff is also important.

"We need the support of the Moroccan fans, but there will also be many San Lorenzo and Real Madrid fans present. It'll be an excellent show.

"FIFA have spoken about Fair Play for a long time, and I think that's how it'll be. We're not interested in anything that happens around us.

"I don't know who the referee is, neither do the players mind who it is. Everyone has to do their thing on the pitch. We play and the referee whistles.

"I don't think [that San Lorenzo have been guilty trying to influence the appointment of the referee] or bother to read these things.

"I will prepare for the game in the best way I can and ensure my players deliver the perfect match. What's being said about the final doesn't concern me."
