The Daily Star claims Real Madrid may be prepared to sell Gareth Bale in order to fund a swoop for Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling.

Despite his fine form for the Spanish giants, where he has become a firm fans’ favourite, the newspaper suggests reports from France have it that the Welshman could be sacrificed next summer to free up funds for a fresh raid on the transfer market.

It is understood that Manchester United will be first in the queue to secure his services and are ready to pay at least €100m for Bale, while Madrid are ready to accept that bid as they look to raid the Premier League for two of its outstanding talents.

Hazard, in particular, is one of the most sought after players in Europe and Chelsea are desperate to tie him down to a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge.

Sterling, meanwhile, is also on Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti’s agenda and the Italian sees him as a winger of great potential as he looks to strengthen Los Blancos’ hand before the start of next season.
