Getafe Coach Cosmin Contra rubbished Luis Enrique's claim that Barcelona dominated Saturday's goalless draw. "We had the game's best chance."
Los Azulones earned a highly-creditable point against the Catalan giants on home soil, although the sentiment was not shared by the visitors' boss, who felt his side were far superior to their opponents – a view with which the Romanian took issue.
"With hard work, we can compete with any of our rivals," he told reporters after the match.
"Barca missed chances? In the first half, we had the game's best chance through Lafita, Bravo made a great save.
"And if the referee didn't blow the final whistle during our chance [at the end of the match], anything could have happened. We limited Barcelona to very few chances.
"If Valencia bypassed us, we competed against Atleti and were very much involved against Barcelona. We're on the path towards success. Our rivals come to the Coliseum and fail to score.
"We worked hard all week on how to find the back of the net, and we had our chances. The boys put perfection onto the pitch thanks to their hard work.
"They know that if they don't work, they don't play. When I arrived here, I said I'd change the team's attitude, and I think we've done that. I can't be happier and prouder of my team."
