Enrique: Getafe didn’t get a sniff

Luis Enrique insisted Barcelona deserved to beat Getafe on Saturday. "We didn't give our opponents a single minute."

The Catalan giants could only manage a 0-0 draw at Coliseum Alfonso Perez after they failed to break down Los Azulones, but the Coach maintained that his side were wholly dominant against their opponents and ultimately paid for their profligacy.

"We knew the match would be difficult, but we were better than our opponents and could have talked a good game if we had taken our chances," he told reporters after the game.

"Barring a few instances, we controlled the match. We were first in La Liga, but Madrid are now four points ahead and we're behind them.

"Of course I'd be happier in another situation, but we didn't give our opponents a single minute. We tried to give it our best shot.

"I saw many moves down the wings, especially on the left, and a shot against the crossbar … We've played with the same system all season.

"Another reason was our imprecision in front of goal. It's always difficult to score against a team who play so tightly."
