Berizzo admits Celta deficiencies

Eduardo Berizzo admits Celta Vigo have lost 'vigour' in attack but insists their style of play is not to blame ahead of Saturday's trip to Malaga.

The Galicians have struggled since their 1-0 victory at Barcelona on November 1, with four defeats in five games and only one goal scored in that time, and the Coach mulled over the reasons behind their recent poor form at a Press conference.

"Every game is important, we won't pander too much because we have another match just days later," he told members of the Spanish media.

"Our main interest is Malaga, who are our next opponents and having a very good season.

"The three defeats have forced us to revert to the drawing board, but the team's performances have not been all bad. I need to find answers and pick the right team at all times.

"We must take risks and be decisive with the ball. When we recover it, we must look to circulate our play quicker and have more vigour in the final third.

"Maybe we've lost that strength and depth, which gives you points, so that's where we need to improve. Charles is our alternative to Larrivey in attack.

"I don't know if the explanation for our lost forcefulness is linked to fitness, but I won't change our system because our way of playing is not the issue."
