Suarez ‘still working’ on behaviour

Luis Suarez has revealed that he is still working to curb his temperament but insisted it is not interfering with his Barcelona career.

The Uruguay international received a four-month suspension for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini during a World Cup match in June, among other transgressions, and he documented the 'spectacular' anger management he was receiving.

"I'm still working on aspects [of my anger] which I still have to control a little," the ex-Liverpool forward confessed in an interview with Mundo Deportivo.

"I'm aware of the magnitude of what I did and also what I generated because there are now many eyes watching me, double or triple than there were before.

"I have to be smarter and not risk doing things which could warrant criticism.

"My treatment has been spectacular, and I'm also avoiding friction and controversy. I've spoken with opponents on the pitch but not resorted to any dirty tricks.

"I don't think [my anger management bears relation to my lack of goals].

"My way of playing, fighting and ambition to win every ball will never be taken away from me because that's what brought me here.

"Yes, I control myself in some scenarios which can hurt me, but I don't think it bears much influence [on my playing style]."
