Morata: Atleti a special match

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata admits he is relishing Tuesday’s 'special' match with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

The forward is in line to face his former rivals having previously represented Real Madrid, and he has underlined Los Colchoneros' most potent threats, along with his own motivation of progressing in Europe's elite club competition.

"With Simeone needing only a few years and having incredible merit, Atleti lose very important players each year, but in return they put together a very competitive, new team," he told Onda Cero.

"They have many variations to their play – they can hurt you with their combinations and dominant midfielders who [love to] drive forward.

"Any of their players can win a game for them. Their wingers are also very attack-minded.

"The Champions League is the pinnacle for all players at club level. Anyone can beat anyone.

"You can have a bad game and go home, or you have a bit of luck and win the competition.

"The most important thing is to be in the next round.

"I'm motivated against any team, but it's extra special because we're facing a Spanish team in Atleti, who have been at the highest level in recent years."
