Nuno ‘sad’ after Granada draw

Nuno Santo was disconsolate after Valencia's 1-1 draw with Granada on Sunday. "We're sad because we deserved to win."

Los Che extended their winless run in La Liga to four matches following Isaac Success' late equaliser for the Andalucians, and the Coach was at a loss to explain how the match slipped out of his side's grasp.

He did however point to the red card shown to striker Paco Alcacer as a possible contributing factor.

"We deserved to win the match, we earned it. We scored the first goal, which is always the hardest, but then the win got away,” Nuno told reporters after the game.

"We're sad because we deserved to win the game, like we have done in recent weeks. We've been the better team and played well but we're not winning.

"I don't want to comment on referees, but surely the team would have taken all three points with 11 men until the final whistle.

"We have to add points as quickly as possible. We intend to do this at home to Rayo and Eibar.
