Kroos will play, Ancelotti confirms

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Toni Kroos is 'a little tired' but will nonetheless feature for Real Madrid against Malaga tomorrow.

The Germany midfielder has admitted he is feeling exhausted as a result of a gruelling schedule throughout 2014, but the Coach insisted the 24-year-old was too important to leave out of Los Blancos’ line-up this weekend.

"I don't see a tired team, but one which has recovered very well. You only need to rotate [the team] when players are tired," he told reporters.

"I only see Kroos being a little tired, but I'll use the week to rest him for the Cup match.

"Tomorrow he'll play. We need him. We'll see next week. Then we have Illarramendi, who came back from an injury but played well against Basel.

"We've improved a lot physically, that was the problem of the season. In addition, last year gave us confidence and if we keep winning, the confidence grows.

Ancelotti then gave his thoughts on Madrid trip to La Rosaleda, along with those on Sami Khedira’s situation at the club and the conditions of former Malaga favourite Isco, Gareth Bale and Iker Casillas.

"I don't want to talk about [the streak] but that we're preparing for a tough, tough game, which we'll have to play well in to stay top of the table," he added.

"Khedira isn't ready. He needs more training but could be back next week.

"It's the will of the club [to renew Khedira's contract], but then negotiations come into it. Technically speaking, I can say that we need him.

"Tomorrow's game will be difficult because Malaga have been very good this season. They won five straight matches before the trip to Atletico Madrid, so we must be wary of them.

"Isco's happy to return to Malaga and they'll will see a more mature player with more experience and dependability.

"Bale's doing great and has no problems. He's ready to help the team continue winning.

"Casillas is okay too, without any problems. He's put in good performances. He's quiet and serene, as he's always been. He's serious, responsible and helps the team in any situation.

"For him, it's a different scenario to last year, but he's adapted to it."
